An argument with an Arctic Tern
——————————/–
Across my bed on the window sill
Appeared a bird with a reddish beak
Aroused by it and the October chill
I rose to peek at the arctic squeak

Intrigued was he, by my hugely sight
Inspired was I, by his freaky voice
In a moment when we both felt right
Invited each other for an appraise

He spoke of places smouldering snow
Heralding his roots on the Arctic land
Hearing the tales of the migratory flow
Heartening it was, to hold his hand

“Happy for you and your human life
Heralding a home to huddle together
Hovering the skies kindles strife ”
He sighed, tousling his beaks to feather

“Being just together is not harmony
Billowing smoke beneath the mind
Birdie thy life is a daily ceremony”
Bemoaned I, bending my hands behind

….argument continues (1)
